How long does it take...
to read a resume and then email/mail a note that says, "you're stupid as sh*t and we're not even going to bother considering you for the job." I'm tired of reading job ads and responding and never hearing anything back.

That sucks....I'm getting ready to start a job search of my own, hopefully I don't have the same experience.
Let's see my brother had an interview in May, lasted all of 5 minutes...I think they already had their person but it's a state job and had to be posted...anyway, he just got a letter this week telling him he didn't get the job. When I worked in what was then called Personnel, we sent letters to each applicant immediately upon hiring someone. Maybe it's just another one of the those "minor" curtousies dropped by this generation of people who are supposed to have more time because they are computerized.
I think they just enjoy torturing people because it's more fun than playing solitaire on the computer :-)
