Today almost improved on the week

Even though I woke up with a migraine, I briefly thought that all was not lost. You see after I came downstairs, the crazy kitty magically made the missing bamboo crochet hook appear. There was joy in Mudville.

The joy didn't last long. My firewall had an upgrade. I downloaded the file and ran it. Something went totally caca so with pounding head, I got to try and restore the 'puter and get the expletive deleted upgrade installed. It's done now, but the expletive deleted Norton System Works isn't recognizing the upgrade and thinks that I don't have a firewall. *banging head*

If my car was running, I'd run away from home.

Norton? Holy crap. That's what I get for getting behind in my blog reading... Geeze Norton is gonna get you every time.

I use Zone Alarm for my firewall and AVG (free) antivirus. Norton and McAfee both have big issues and always mess things up when I've installed them.

Actually everything is working together now. For some reason it took Norton a day to recognize the new Zone Alarm Pro. Go figure. I've had the Norton package - anti-virus and all the other stuff - for years. Mostly I like it, but that may have more to do with using it for more than 20 years. (And isn't that scary?)

LOL - well, it mostly does the job. I just don't like how invasive it is into the system. But if it's working, that's what counts.

And I'm used to it. :-)
